Gary Vaynerchuk's 101 Wines

Gary Vaynerchuk's New Book

If you are tuned into today’s social web, or Web 2.0 as it is also called, you have likely heard of wine guru Gary Vaynerchuk and Wine Library TV. Wine Library TV is Gary’s daily video cast, where he takes the pretentiousness out of wine appreciation and brings it to the regular guy (or girl). Using language in his comparison’s that the average person can relate to, and armed with a New York Jets logo emblazoned spit bucket, Gary Vaynerchuk is the hottest wine critic in the country. And now he has written a book: Gary Vaynerchuk’s 101 Wines.

Gary’s celebrity and brand is huge on the Internet. His web presence alone has pushed Gary Vaynerchuk’s 101 Wines up the Amazon bestseller list. With this book and recent talk show appearances, he is just starting to cross over into mainstream media. Where his dynamic personality, and “wine for everybody” attitude will take him from here is limitless.

The wines featured in 101 Wines cover all sorts of prices, countries, grapes and styles which permit all levels of readers to expand their knowledge. The wines reviewed are also accompanied by technical notes and the story behind the vintage if you are interested in that sort of thing.

The book is as much about a down to earth wine mindset as it is about the ranking wines. Vaynerchuck wants you to select wine based on what you like and how you like it instead of following stuffy “rules” of the so called experts. Gary said on Wine Library TV, that all of the wines featured in the book are new and have not been previously reviewed on his web show.

If you have been interested in learning more about wine, but have been deterred by a perceived barrier to entry, Gary Vaynerchuk’s 101 Wines was written just for you.
